Perch and native catfish aren't enough? Lets put a non-native species that if they aren't caught will die. What genius came up with this plan?

dunno glass.. for my kiddo... it's the only time he wants to fish the brec ponds.... pretty neat catching them here when we chase em in other places..

i think cost wise - it works out real well for brec.

yeah.. I just wish BREC would make it catch and release until it gets closer to the date they all die.. pretty cool to go catch a handful after work/school.

once they get close to dying big bass maul em...

One I caught last year around this time on a chug bug. I threw him back in. Never gonna eat anything from a local public pond.

that's a pretty typical looking RT that you would catch in the rivers around here. The lakes have the bigger boys and plenty of these that are stocked throughout the year.

yeah, i caught that one in the north sherwood pond. it's not pretty there, but there are some bass in it. the trout was just a bonus as i was fishing topwater for bass that morning.

as i said earlier in the thread, my friend works for BREC and said corn on a hook and you'll catch the trout. not as fun as artificial, but to each his own.

I only carry three baits for these fish. Can of corn, salmon eggs, and power bait.

i've heard that before, do you just let it sink to the bottom or what?

Down there I would do that. They are a cold water fish. Here you can have two poles per person in a lake and work the bottom and top.

Really really surprised they bring an invasive species in.
