I figure about 50k...
If we were financing, how many years could we spread out the note?

BTW—-very aware about the work involved, how bad an idea this is and what a poor financial decision it would be to not pay it in cash.

Not sure about pool specific financing, but have you considered a cash-out refinance, using the cash-out for the pool? Mortgage interest rates are pretty low right now

You might get some info if you ask this on the Money Board.

I just went through this with the wife had a number in my mind I was comfortable with and that number kept getting higher and higher with all the add ons and I finally had coming to jesus with the wife

refinance was out because we have a low interest rate now, it was going to be like $700 month for 7 years at 5.5% interest I showed her what that would look like if we invested that much a month at 5.5% interest

ended up doing some compromising and bought us a membership to the country club where we can swim all we want, and some other sumbitch can clean it and pay the electric bill and maintenance bill, also promised a new puppy for her and the kid, which in turn had me building a new fence two weeks ago for the dogs still coming out way ahead

tl,dr it may work for you, but damn they are expensive and money board would be better place to ask

50K will get you a concrete hole in the ground and that’s about it. If you want any niceties better figure 75

Man I would like one as well, but just can't justify the cost and the upkeep.
