Question for trail camera gurus

If I have an external solar panel and an external battery, and I put rechargeable AA batteries in the camera,will the external appliances recharge the internal batteries?

No, not on Spartan cameras.

No. They back up the external battery Incase it goes dead.

No external power supply will force charge to the internal AA’s.
The solar panel can trickle charge the 12v battery if configured properly.
I use the SolR power management system from Slow Glow.
