I’ve been looking at this combo for a while and finally caught it on sale at the Outdoor Classic. I went with the BDX1600 range finder and the 3.5-10 x 42 scope. Mounted it on a Ravin R-10. My thought is to get another scope next year for the rifle.

Initially mounted the scope but ran out of adjustment while still shooting 4” high at 30 yards. After a new set of rings and 25 MOA of cant I got back to the range last weekend.

Took a while to get it zeroed in at 30. But once I got it dialed in it was time to see how well the tech side works. Went out to 47 yards, then 66, then 77, and finally 93 yards. Shooting into a Morrell target with small maybe 2” bullseyes, each time I only fired once and each time I couldn’t place the width of my index finger between the shaft and the black circle.

If anyone is looking at this system and on the fence I can say I was blown away. It exceeded my expectations.

I bought a 3.5-10x42 off of a friend. I may sell my Leupold rangefinder and pick up a Sig so I can utilize the BDX system.

The ballistic profiles are far more detailed for bullets. I can’t wait to try it on a rifle given the results I’ve already seen.
