Pond Leakage Help

I have a 3/4 acre pond that consistently stays around 5ft low, its currently 7-8’ deep in the center. Is there any one who specializes in such that could be recommended? I have poured bentonite it it before with success but since the drought last summer, it has started leaking again. TIA

My understanding is that bentonite is really only effective if you drain and disk it into the clay.
Look up a product called Damit pond sealer.

You can drill a well but I guess thats pointless if water continuously leaks

Don’t waste your money by guessing. May have some great answers on the OB. Check with your state Agriculture commission. They may be some help. My friend had the same problem on 14 acres and found out after bentonite $$$ Geo Engineer found several veins of sand. Stay smart and drink heavy my friend

I poured the dammit into the water near the leak and it stopped it up.

Does the pond have a dam? Any wet spots behind it? Was the soil composition checked when it was dug?

I have been fighting this a bit. My pond wants to stay around 8' deep. Thats the typical soil bearing capacity in a non claylined, non sandy soil. If you can identify areas where you know the pond is leaking i have had success with soil floc... Obviously the best route is to drain the pond and either clay line or bentonite mix. But short of that you are chasing the problem. I have a water well that I run continuously for my 5 acre pond.
