Point of the hook...showing or hidden?

When fishing with live worms or cut bait for bream, crappie, catfish....etc.
Do you try to hide the point of the hook or leave it showing?

But if you're talking about chunking for tuna or chumming up mangroves, then you better hide the whole hook.

well its like this, for perch/brim, they are biting the worm not inhaling the whole thing in most cases so i try to keep the worm covering the hook tip so what they bite can bite back. if not they grab the shank of the hook instead and its pure luck if the hook is pointing where it catches them.
when it comes to catfish or bass they just inhale the whole thing so it doesnt really matter if you are fishing for them whether the hook is covered or not
