Headed to North Dakota for a few days next week for work. Planning on squeezing in a couple of pheasant hunts while I’m there. I was wondering if y’all have any advice on the best way to store a couple to have mounted when I get back to Houston. I appreciate all the help.

Just bring it to ‘ole T-Joe. He’ll mount anything, lol…

I love that mount. It's like one of the two I have. But for the record, the colorful part off the bird is underneath. My second mount is spectacular. Taxidermist in the foothills outside Denver mounted it.

Wrap it in a dry towel, and then put it in a garbage bag, squeeze the air out and tie it tight. Try to keep the feathers as straight as possible. Then get it to your taxidermist as soon as you can. Here’s mine from Kansas a few years back. Beautiful birds.

Looks like a southerner did that mount. I won't beat a dead horse but they are much prettier from beneath.

Thank you sir. Will it keep like that on dry ice and overnighted back to TX?
