You've gotten plenty of good advice. One thing I would add: When buying your license you get 10 days in 2 5 day increments. If you aren't hunting more than 5 days during this trip, specify that you want your second 5 days to start 5 days before the season ends. That way you can move your dates up and use them if you get invited to go back.
