PSA is like the greater value brand for a lot of AR products. Sorry not sorry. When you get versed and immersed enough in the AR game you’ll see.
Requirements for my AR's (and generally all of my firearms):
1. Throws lead down range.
2. Reasonably accurate.
3. Reliable.
You don't need to spend a bazillion dollars to get that. You really don't need to spend over $1,000 to get that.
AR hobbying is like any other. You can spend all you want, but once you get past the core requirements, everything else is just showing-off.

Is that good or bad?
Neither.
He isn't wrong, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
Just like Great Value, PSA serves its purpose, but that doesn't mean it's the best you can buy.

Have you ever worn a pair of $25 socks?

Makes me fricking love the Blue Label program. Those prices are what everyone should be paying. Maybe even less than that.
Yeah, I may grab a Gen 5 19 if they do it for vets again between Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

It depends on the purpose for buying. No one needs a BCM or DD and PSA is fine for most. I wouldn’t use one for duty though, especially since you can get something that follows the TDP for only about $200 more.

Did you ever buy Thorlos at the PX? They were a godsend on humps.

Yep. They were actually issued to us for a few of my deployments. I probably have close to 20 pairs still.

I always get a laugh out of people who claim that PSA, Anderson, etc are "just as good as" BCM, DD, or Noveske.

Just as good? No. More likely to cycle when immersed in silty water... Probably.
Loose tolerances have their place
One reason I like the mini

Not bad. Buy a complete lower for $120 and complete upper for $220 though and you can get an M&P 2.0 for $350 from Smokey Mountain Guns.
