I just pictured one of you knuckleheads sitting in the cab of a chopper harvester camo'd out.

FML. Not camo'd out but have definitely ridden on both combines and cotton pickers waiting for one to jump up.

I stand corrected. Allow me to rephrase.

I never drove a combine over rows of deer.

I knew what you were saying in relation to the "harvesting" of deer. To be honest, every once and a while you can jump up a good sized one that is bedded down in the field...

I actually pronounce it both ways. If Bayou is the first name in the bayou's name (ex. Bayou Lafourche) I pronouce it "by-you". If it is the second part of the name (like one up here Bee Bayou), I pronounce it "by". Never understood why I do, but just always have.

I think I'm definitely sticking with pee-row. When I hear people say pee-rawg I just think they're trying too hard to let you know there's a g in the word. PEE ROW TILL I DIE

So, is it troll motor or trolling motor? Does it matter?

BTW, Golf "carts" are called cars by the OEMs.

referring to a deer as an 8-pointER.

Old Yankees and those new to the outdoors do it.

Launch boat versus put in....I like put in, but I am an ex redneck. "where did you put in"

We launched one and had to make a plug out of a sluggo and duct tape a decade ago.

Which brings up another question.

Duck Tape or Duct tape? I used to say Duck, now Duct, now I am confused.

And you have never said "I saw an 8 pointer", I would remember.

Now that there is a brand called "Duck tape" either is correct.

"Duck" tape has always been the most correct. "Duct" tape is actually a later affectation because people didn't understand the origins of the tape and the tape came to be, in fact, used on ducts.

But, duck tape was developed during World War II as a means of waterproof sealing ammunition crates and other things that needed to be sealed. Since it was waterproof, the soldiers called it "Duck" tape.
