How about a semi outdoor that acts as a passway from your man room to the outside?

This is essentially what i would have. maybe "man cave" isn't the best term. Would keep the grills outside but have a commercial grade range in that spot.

If you are still in the design phase of the house, and are wondering whether or not you will use it, i would have the architect incorporate it under roof or in the house plans. You don't necessarily have to finish it out, but can at least get plumbing and electrical stubbed in the right spot. It will be a lot less expensive to design it in with the house now. If you decide you want to do one later, and have to add it on, or do a free standing structure, the cost will be exponentially higher.

Well, we have been in our new home for about 8 months, the outdoor kitchen/back patio comes off main part of house, to the left is the mounted 60 inch TV, and to the right is the stove top, gas grill, sink, green egg. with some barstools around two fiberoptic wire spools AT&T left down the street.

I can say we have spent more time, watched more LSU sports and other games and cooked more meal outside than we have inside.

also built a 1/2 bath right off outdoor kitchen, So I really never have to go inside.

but that just me, Mancave? get your arse outside
