This is not a problem. If it doesn't drip and stain your carport, don't worry about it. Or do and waste a day at the dealership.

Picked it up this morning....

Official diagnosis from the Ram service folks is "looks like some oil splashed up from the last service and just burned on there"

I'm not calling him a liar, they're the pros, but I have my doubts. As I said, I've done all the service, and I'm pretty intentional about not leaving anything behind.

I'm now adopting the clean it up, see if it reappears strategy.
