This thread is hilarious. I don't hunt high fence or with a crossbow, but the fact that someone else does doesn't effect my life at all.

I will never see a 140" buck where I hunt but the fact that Joebuck does every week won't change that.

I have no idea why y'all get so upset about what he does on his property but I'd guess it's 90% jealousy....

Just drank a cup of community while reading this thread and laughing. I told bootlegger last night it had potential.

Well I was done with Louisiana Sportsman Magazine a long time ago and this confirms why. BS article from a deer pen. One of a few real douche canoe's in the Busbice family. They could have done so much to promote our state and themselves in a positive light. But instead this is the type of crap that comes from them. No way in hell from a moral standpoint I would have ever allowed an article like that to be written about the place they hunt and published in a state magazine. We as ethical sportsmen and outdoorsmen have got to stop promoting LSM and WGI.

I think it's mainly that he decided to "let everyone know"....also known as bragging about it. I liken it to raising fish in a private pond and playing catch and release for 10+ years until you catch one that has grown to 17lbs and then wanting to brag about your fishing skills.

I am understand that.

I don't know anything about high fence but it seems to me like 55k acres isn't exactly shooting them in a 100 acre pen

Or it really could be that people have had issues with their product for years and then this dude comes along trolling. He will defend his style of hunting yet I have never seen him defend the quality of his families product. Understand?

So he's only shooting the ones furthest away fro the fence, eh?

Imagine being the guy who's 100 acres now has a fence on three sides because of this shitbag.

I don't know anything about that bc I don't use their stuff. I also don't watch their show bc they seem like a bunch of a holes who think they're better than everyone else. Just bc you have money doesn't make you a great outdoorsman.

However, that being said I don't think he'd be on here trying to run it in everyone's face if y'all didn't bite so hard on all his post....or maybe he would I don't know the guy.

I hunt 575 acres. I've read studies that a bucks home range is 240 acres. I'd be willing to bet there are deer on his 55k acres that have no clue they are in a high fence....jmho

Well since we are tossing insults, you remind me a delusional liberal that is so far out there with your ideas that you make your family uncomfortable during the holidays.

I am a liberal, but I'm not sure what you mean by the rest of your statement. As for the insults go, you should go have a chat with your neighbors who's land you screwed over if you want to hear some insults.

I've said it a few times, there is nothing wrong with harvesting animals for human consumption. On a fundamental level I think what you're doing is neat and I don't view it as immoral. The issue comes up when you get LouisianaDorksman to write an article about how you shot two of your best pets and then you submit your hero shot so everyone knows. All of this would be fine and well if you disclosed it was shot behind a fence, but you don't do that. You're not honest.

What is it that motivates you to come here and post your sportsman article? Do you think you did something extraordinary? Does your understanding of the animals you hunt go beyond knowing which part of the park the big ones live? Do you even care at all what it does the the property immediately outside the fence? What about all those people you fricked over?

what a major douche you are, but you've got to know that already, right?

thanks for the entertainment this morning, good thread!

by the way joebuck, you seem to be missing this point. its not the fact that you used a crossbow on the first one, or a rifle on this one

its that these articles and yourself fail to mention that this is high fenced pet "hunting", thats what makes it not hunting, hell if you just mentioned that in the article, you would catch a lot less flack, just let people know instead of pretending to be some buck whisperer, thats why people don't like you

Jealousy requires a desire for the thing/activity. I got out of my last club because they decided to fence. I want no part of it.
