I love my lab, but he is crazy as shite. My next one will be from a breeder and will learn to retrieve. Good dogs.

these are pretty pricy, but they have a pretty amazing bloodline. I am probably paying too much, but everything I have read is that genetics play a huge part in a dogs demeanor

It all depends on the blood line. If you get a decent to good blood line, you will pay between $800 and $1800. At that price, the breeder should guaranty the hips, eyes and even the elbows.
