Yea there are definitely pros and cons. I understand the guys saying 5 biggest bass and everything. I don't mind either one. But again who here has casually caught 26 score able bass in a day like Howell did day 1. That's still impressive as hell to me even if they weren't all hogs. And its not like they've eliminated the need or desire to catch big bass. Hell KVD is a 6 lber away from making the cut. I'm sure he'd rather land one of those than 6 barely score able. You can have a bad day and still come back in round 2 and get yourself back in it.

Stole this from BBC.

Additionally, here's what the top 10 in each group would look like if anglers were credited only with the weight of their best five fish:

GROUP A
1. Randall Tharp: 22-09
2. Zack Birge: 21-09
3. Ish Monroe: 21-08
4. Ott DeFoe: 18-11
5. Mark Daniels Jr.: 16-12
6. Randy Howell: 16-08
7. Gerald Spohrer: 16-01
8. Takahiro Omori: 15-08
9. Matt Lee: 14-12
10. Dave Lefebre: 14-00

GROUP B
1. Greg Hackney: 19-12
2. Jason Christie: 18-14
3. Alton Jones Jr.: 18-05
4. Terry Scroggins: 17-00
5. Aaron Martens: 16-03
6. John Murray: 15-14
7 (tie). Anthony Gagliardi: 14-11
7 (tie). Jonathon VanDam: 14-11
9. Adrian Avena: 14-00
10. Marty Robinson: 13-13

Not terrible for a "dink" fest.

They have got to work out the kinks of cutting to a commercial mid-fish catch. This is killing me

No lie, and too much talk.

They need to show more fishing and less bull sheet

I grew up bass fishing, but have recently gone to almost 100% saltwater. Watching this is making me want to grab a texas rigged brush hog and get after it!

Funny how that happens. I went out and bought a new reel last night just from watching this. Haven’t fished in weeks but getting the itch now.

What happened? He broke off a fish and tried to grab the line with fish still attached?
