Not gonna lie. I'm pretty jacked about this thing.

I may need to get a buddy to watch me build it so I don't screw up and kill myself.

Yea. He should be using a rubber hammer. He has other vides where he takes it into a shop and they assemble the upper with a real gunsmith, that one shows head space and timing and gas block assembly. Dont be afraid to mar the finish. You can always duracoat it.

I agree with just about everything in this video. I also know I could never post videos on Youtube. A couple of guys are so pissed off about his opinion of proper vertical foregrip placement...even though he states that the grip being closer to the mag well has advantages in CQB. They're tripping about his weapon being loaded too.

Alot of solid points in that article. Even tho most people just buy these guns for recreation, we also have it in our mind to use it as a self-defense weapon. As such we should be seeking out the best gear for the cheapest prices. Compromises can be made in certain areas but it is a fine line.

In my own little ar world I have a parts ranking checklist of most important (no compromise on quality) to least important (compromises can be made)

So what's my next step? Go ahead and start shopping for uppers or wait until I get the lower assembled first?

How should I break down the upper parts as far as purchase order goes?

Start shopping for uppers now.

You'll need complete upper, BCG, and charging handle.

Def start looking for bcg now, that'll be one of the hardest to come by.

Because of how hard it is to find bolts and carrier groups, you really need to loom for a complete upper with everything included.

So just make sure it's Mil-Spec for everything?

Should I not break down the complete upper so I can M4 it, or other stuff?

Not to mention, customizing a barrel.

I've never done it but there's quite a bit more work involved in placing an upper together.
