And the fact that they're sending you parts other than what their description states.

That's a pretty big fricking deal.

i mean, i get the frustration, but offering to send you the part to correct the issue is far more efficient than sending everything in and having them do it. especially if you know how to replace it yourself.

yeah, you shouldn't have to do that, but shite happens. i'm still waiting on a refund from Alien Gear on a holster i order that delivered to them last friday. still no word from them.

Quit simping for PSA. Their QC process is horrible. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

And by the way, I knew how to change out the block. But someone who didn't would be out 75-100 bucks to fix their frick up.

i'm not simping. i'm just saying "shite happens".

i've yet to have issues with them. i had a PA10 but i ended up selling it because a buddy of mine wanted it more than i did.

i've got one of their AKs that i've yet to have issues with.

They sell ok stuff but the fact is that you never know what you're getting.

In my opinion after buying that upper, I would rather spend more money and KNOW and have faith in what I'm buying. No one wants to dick with 90 day long warranty times for their incompetence.

Unless there is another typo on a website.

That wasn't a typo on their website. They even shipped the long Allen wrench to adjust the gas block.

The real issue was they were backordered on adjustable gas blocks so they shipped a batch of uppers with non adjustables. Pretty damn dirty IMO.

That's the issue with PSA, the parts they use are fine. But their QC is so inconsistent. I like that they're flooding the market with as many ARs as possible but there's no way I'd trust my life on one.

yeah, i'm not gonna act like an expert when it comes to the different brands. i'm running a built anderson manufacturing rifle.

but i find it hard to believe that i need to go out and get a life saving/dependable rifle from Daniel Defense for $2000+ when the most critical components of the rifle is the barrel, gas system (gas block/bolt/buffer system), and trigger assembly. all of which can be upgraded into your PSA or Anderson builds.

stocks, grips, fore ends, rails are all interchangeable in my mind and are way overpriced for the DDs of the world.

there's no reason that B5 stocks should cost $100 when Magpul can offer a "just as good" stock for $50.

or Radian charging handles being $75+ when your typical mil-spec charging handle is $25. you're telling me the larger grip is worth the extra $50-90?

Who said anything about paying $2000+? You can get a BCM barreled upper right now with a BCM BCG for $510.
Any quality ambi charging handle is around $75.

Ah ok sorry it sounded like a typo. My PSA experience has been fine and I fell down the meme lower hole. So I have a several lowers, some uppers, and parts from them with no issues as of yet.

I wouldn’t trust my life to any rifle I didn’t have substantial range time with PSA or otherwise.

I mean where else can I get a space cannon right

Just as a follow up, and thanking everyone for the advice so far, thought I'd give a quick update.

Over the weekend, my cousin asked me, so how much do you think you'll use this gun? Not much, probably, I admitted. Then he says, so the most important thing is that you like the looks, right?

Yesterday I ordered a 16" LWRC-DI because I liked the looks of the fluted barrel mostly, and saw plenty of good reviews.

Ordered from Family Firearms, based on the lowest advertised price of $1359.00, so now the wait.

I'm wondering if it has any kind of muzzle flash protector, as the description just says that its "threaded". Thoughts?

Exactly. Don't matter PSA or HK. They are mass produced and can have flaws. Or so I heard...miss those pew pew things

Thanks for the replies.

What to look for in range ammo? I know nothing about a 556 round other than what it vaguely looks like.
