Plus, now that I know you actually assemble these yourself:

Just because someone is/was not in the infantry does not mean that they cannot be quite proficient with firearms. For a few hundred bucks a day a civilian can train with SF operators like Travis Haley (Force Recon) and Larry Vickers (Delta)...hell Haley even comes to the New Orleans area to train every year (Nolatac) I believe. Plenty of guys take training very seriously, spending lots of cash sending thousands of rounds downrange in training every year.
Correct, that is an option...let's see a show of hands of people who have done this. I would say a very very, insignifigantly, small portion of gun owners do something like that. Not to mention a couple of hours training, no matter with who, isn't going to do shite for you when relying on instinct.
My RRA is not a full RRA, but the parts that matter are. I bought the upper used for $300 and then put the lower (Mega Machine) together for about $225. I'll be dead, removed from the situation, or be victorious before my barrel turns to dust because I shot too many round through it. And if this EMP thing happens, you'll be better served laying low and carrying a pistol than running out the house guns blazing every morning. Can someone re-post the article about the guy in South America who actually lives the scenario described and recommends strongly against carrying a rifle.

shite the military doesn't even use Noveske/DanielDefense/(insert over-priced AR manufacturer). They use RRA, Bushmaster, and whoever else can fill a contract on the cheap. Just sayin...
Not true. We use Daniel Defense uppers.
Well, some of us

I could repost it if I wasn't a dick.
You're setting up straw men and arguing with yourself. I gave you some information. Do with it what you will.

Not to beat a dead horse, but does anyone have any leads on where to get one? What about Online?

Edit OP with some scope info! I am torn between an Eotech and an Aimpoint scope. Would love info/feed back on that. Thx!

I think I've decided on the Eotech. I was kind of leaning towards the Aimpoint until I found out the Eotech I want is damn near $200 cheaper than the Aimpoint.

I'm putting together a blueprint for a build this year and I'd like to get your opinion on it. Everyone I work with is such a fanboy of one manufacturer or another so it'd be nice to get an outside opinion

Sun Devil stripped lower
Magpul m93b stock
VLTOR MUR stripped upper
Noveske 16" recon barrel
Daniel Defense AR-15 Lite 14" rail
Daniel Defense BCG
Spikes Tactical gas tube
PWS FSC 556 compensator
Haven really decided on a lower parts kit yet but I know I want strictly mil spec. You got any suggestions? I'm open to any and all.

I'm not trying to be a brand whore, but there definitely a difference between a Rock River and a Noveske. I do believe that Noveske is overkill for someone that doesn't plan to shoot it very much, but they are works of art.
Ive been lucky enough to train with some of these guys. Their classes are worth there weight in gold. I went from 3 ARs to one, a bunch of pistols to 2, etc etc... Training is key and knowing and understanding your gun is priceless.
There is a difference between RRA and Noveske, the average person will never see it. People that actually use their rifles for competitions and duty will appreciate the fact that their rifle will work.

Eotech also has a wider field of view. Much better.

Aimpoint due to ridiculous battery life (3+ years if you leave it on) and clean sight picture.
