I found a Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44

more than I was looking to spend but there was a pretty good deal on it so I went ahead and bought it.

I wanted a 40-44mm on this gun.

Looked at Leupold VX-3 and almost pulled the trigger on one of those. They're in your price range.

Do it.

You get entered to win a suppressor. That should be enough to push you over the edge.

Get it. I'll take a pic of mine when I get home from the office and post it. So clean, and far superior functionally

2 cherry bombs. One in 1/2x28 one in 5/8x24.

Not knowing anything about your 30-06, I would make sure the barrel can be threaded 5/8-24 before getting the brake. If the barrel has a sporter contour or is otherwise too thin to thread 5/8-24 you may have to go with a different thread pattern.

Leupold VX 3 on my Larue, works great up to 300 yds.

1" groups not a problem.

I'm not familiar with all the variations that comes in, but I feel like most have sporter contour barrels which are pretty much off limits for 5/8-24. You need ~.75" for the major diameter of the threads and a shoulder for the brake to back up to. Maybe 9/16" would work better.

Yeah Ill have to think this through. I just measured the barrel tip and it I'd only 5/8" dia.
