While 7.62X39 isnt a bad option, I don't think I would buy an AR in one. Buy a 6.5 grendel from Sulzer. If you are stuck on 7.62X39, get a CZ527 carbine. 6.5 grendel is better than 7.62X39 in every way so just go that route.

I would stay away from the 7.62x39 in an AR15 for a few reasons. Mainly, while I know there are many out there that run fine, there are A LOT of people that have issues getting them to work right. Most of the issues come from the taper of the 7.62x39's case and the fact the AR15 was not designed around a cartridge with such a taper. Another area that leaves a lot to be desired is ammo selection. Most of what is on the shelves at local stores is underpowered, not loaded with a high level of consistency and use "non-hunting" bullets. However, if you hand load this isn't an issue. I have a buddy that hand loads 7.62x39 for hunting and gets awesome results. If you're married to the 7.62x39 AR15 I would probably look at the CMMG Mutant. It's similar to the AR15, but a proprietary design centered around the 7.62x39 cartridge. Hunting-suited cartridges I would look at in the AR15 platform would be the 6.5 Grendel and 6.8 SPC.

I have a 6.8 spc and am in the process of building a 6.5 grendel.

Pretty fired up about it.

I have a Larue 6.5 Grendel, pricey but well worth the $$$$$$

Anxious to hit the woods with it and get off the range.

i just compared them all and it looks i like the Dead Air system looks the best with its muzzle break but the system s freaking 340 bucks. a third the price of the supressor.

The Area 419 hellfire system looks good too but you have to remove the break and put on a threaded part then the supressor. Thats a lot compared to the others and it is 255 for the system.

The cherry bomb doesnt look the best as a break and only comes in stainless, the pics looks like a weird brass color. It is 225 total.

The threaded part stays on the gun. The brake ans suppressor mount on the threaded part. The dead air isnt a whole lot different than the sico trifecta brake/flash hider. Jsut switch to that system if that's what you want.

The Q system is very similar to area 419 except there is not threaded piece, you just by all the brakes. If using on multiple guns it would get more expensive.

Just my thoughts.

right but it is 3 pieces rather than 2. The univeral adapter 1 for each gun. The muzzle break, 1 for each. and the can adapter.

For what it's worth, I have an old Specwar 556 with ASR on a machinegun with several thousand rounds through it that usually gets ridden pretty hard when I break it out and haven't had any issues. It's not complete unfunctional garbage. So, if you're having sticker shock over getting a new system, or are concerned about the ASR and are only going to be shooting moderately you can wait to upgrade. The silencer industry is due for consolidation to one univeral mount and I think we are on the cusp of that happening. I think keymo is the way to go, mostly because I think Q is a vanity project for Kevin and mass produce isn't in the cards for him, but it's kind of like choosing HD DVD over Bluray right now.

now im down to trying to plan my next builds. i want ot come get 2 lowers from you and make one 300blk or grendel (maybe SBR)and one creedmore for hunting.

Right. But you only need one brake and one can adapter. The area 419 is a better brake than the cherry bomb.

Just offering another option that is actually available. Good luck getting the Q stuff.

right but you have to remove the break and install the adapter to put the supressor on. where as both other designed you just screw the suppressor ontop of the break. no removing/adding parts.

i agree.

i appreciate it.

im not trying to get it right now. Why the attitude? Im really thinking about taking Props advice and just use the ASR and wait for a more standard system to come out. all the ASR problems i imagine are over blown.

No attitude, the Q stuff is not available....ever, just letting you know. Like Prop said, I think Kevin at Q is just pissed all these companies moved on without him. If he hates silencerco so much, why does he make a mount for their cans?

I dont use the ASR mount, I do think the problems are overblown as well. I use the trifecta brake and MAAD mount. I think it is a superior system, just compare it to the dead air keymo system. Same designer just a couple changes. Ive never launched my Saker or had issues with it getting stuck.

Im super interested in the plan B and Area419 systems, I dont shoot full auto and want to drop some weight from the Saker suppressor. Availability of parts is a huge factor for me.
