Looks like I might be ordering some of those pliers instead of a roll pin punch set.

Damn, can't see all the parts he is using...

I'm just gonna tape up my pliers.

A set of large channel locks works even better than what he has, because you dont have to stop to tighten them. Just tape them up VERY well or the tape will tear and you will scratch your receiver.

Get an old set of vice grips and use some duck tape.

What are most of yall using to lubricate the bolt carrier assemble and the internal parts of said piece? Ive been using rifle grease and it seems to be working well. Is there any reason I should be switching over to an oil? I hear that the rifle gets too hot for the oil and it tends to burn off fairly quick

Those who use pliers, how do y'all get the pin started before squeezing it in? Mine fit awfully tight
Posted on 2/27/13 at 7:03 am to Uncle JackD
I just pushed it in with my fingers, maybe give it a few taps with a hammer. Then its secure enough to squeeze on in.

I found this sitting outside my house. It was scary looking but fortunately some Good Samaritan broke in an stole it. I'm hoping they destroyed it but who knows. It's not in my possession anymore.

I'm just as new to this as most of yall, although I have done a ton of research on it. From what i've read there are 3 options as far as securing it: torque it to spec, loctite, or stake it.
