Looks like they are heading back out today. Also looks like a nasty line about to come through.

You may be early. I don't think they have moved shallow yet and the front coming through tomorrow night won't help matters. Not to mention all the rain that has cooled the water more.

Weights are low again. Except Darold Gleason, he dropped 25 pound on em today. He may get a W depending on what John Cox weighs in.

Very few fish were in shallow last weekend based on our trip. Our guide said they lost so much grass in 2016, there aren’t nearly as many staging areas between winter haunts and spawning, making transition fishing tough. We caught mostly males, and the females we caught were busting with eggs, so they are close, but the rain and temperatures dropping this past week surely slowed their movements up.

Josh with LTD guide service. Really enjoyed the trip, promptly booked him for a tour of his brushpiles this summer.

Were y'all down south? Only asking because we caught all of our fish super shallow last weekend, but we fished the north end of the lake.

Some are. Water was almost too low to hold em there, but it has come up some.

I'm touched.

I sent my dad in to the back of hurricane creek this morning. No idea how it will go but it seemed logical to me.

What's the water level? I'm reading that it's low but I've got a buddy that swears he just heard it was high.

Me and the guys will be at the end of 1215 Sat-Tuesday. Looks like the weather is not going to be that good. We will make the most out of it.

Trailering to calm waters and staying dry will be the key

Thinking about taking this Friday off and heading down to Toledo-Bend. Are we currently in the 1st or 2nd wave of spawn? I would believe we are getting close to shad spawn temperatures as well. I'm looking forward to being on the water.

Shad spawn temps are still a little ways out. I found a few reallt protected pockets that the temps got as high as 64-65 in. For the most part though, temps were staying in the 58-62 degree range. I think the full moon in a couple of days will have a big push coming up to spawn on the north end.

I fished the BASS nation tourney Friday and Saturday and didn’t do very well. Only caught three keepers each day, but that was partly my fault. Lost a couple of big ones and broke one off. We couldn’t use nets and I tried to boat flip one thinking it wasn’t that big, but when it came out the water it came off and was a solid 4-4.5. I did end up catching 3 fish that were 3.85, 4.02, and 4.45 on my scale. Most of my bites were in the bushes. Caught my best one fishing hydrilla in 5-7 foot and lost another big one out there.

Baller,

The nests are near completion. Fish are finished cruising and now locking on. If you need me to show you the nests, please text or call.
