Was there last Monday and tuesday..... here's my report...
Started in 6 mile monday... and it sucked... managed 3 keepers mostly out in the grass in about 4 ft. Had several strange jig bites where they hammered it but didn't eat it.
About noon we decided to pack up and head to patroon... managed 6 keepers on probably 15 bites... dragging a Pit Boss a few feet from the bank. Fish were obviously on beds but not up on the bank and water was too stained to see them.
Tuesday we decided to fish the Louisiana side in the La Nan area and absolutely hammered them. We found a creek where they were moving up and it was on. Blue and Black Hack Attack jig and same color Christie Craw produced most of the bites but I did manage 4 bites on a black/chartreuse fluke.
I think we had over 30 bites tuesday and boated 23... no giants... a couple of 4+ were the biggest but we broke off a big girl and lost another one. Wish we could have stayed because we looked at another part of the lake on the way home and I feel like we could have worked on them pretty good in there if we could have stayed.
Man I love that place.... but geez... can we get some freakin cell towers down there? service is awful.

Nice report! And the cell service has actually improved a ton out there compared to the last few years.

Heading up in the AM through Sunday. Gonna be a long and hopefully prosperous week.

Thanks for the report. Heading up a week from tomorrow through Sunday. Was starting at 6-mile. Thinking they should be on the beds down there by then. Planning to fish south but may head north if the bite is slow. Will post pics if post-worthy.

I was out there this past Friday and Saturday. Went south on Friday and did not see much bedding activity. Now, we didn't spend a whole lot of time looking, but where there used to be beds all over had none. Spent a little time North on Saturday and didn't see any beds. The water was stained so we would have had to get right on them.
