Does anybody else have issues with the beard hair growing in five different directions? Is there something I can use to train it?

210ish was heaviest I ever was and that was first year away from home in college. I quickly fixed that.
My neck hair isn't the problem. The right side of my jaw lays down nice, but the left grows straight out, down, back, and forward. I wonder if it has something to do with me sleeping on that side of my face.
