Im around columbia ms, and i just checked my cameras saturday "normally 200-300 pics each" and I had 40 pics on one and 44 on the other, a couple does at night. No movement whatsoever, I also talked to a couple big hunters in the area and they are seeing nothing either. I dont know whats up

My taxidermist was not busy at all. Said he had forgotten what a buck looked like bc all he's gotten was a few doe this year. I have a feeling when it gets cold it's going to pick up a ton. Hardly Anybody's killing anything right now.

Beautiful country out there. I have seen some real monsters come from that area and not just from their high fence

I hunt in Montgomery County MS and I haven't seen a deer in the last 2 weeeks, the trail cameras are full of pictures all taken at night. So far this year my camp has only killed one buck and 5 does, and we have 16 members and 1500 acres, there are tracks everywhere and I found 7 fresh scrapes this past weekend so hopefully in about 2-3 weeks the bucks will start cruising.

This is the biggest/latest acorn drop I have seen in a long time.

This. I was hunting big woods on Thursday and there were still tons of acorns still on the trees. I think the wet spring followed by the dry summer/fall led to the big acorn crop that dropped late. Plus, the dry summer and fall led to a lot of areas that did not have water for the deer to drink. Hopefully the rains will solve the water problem.
