I hear ya man. Browning can copy whatever they want IMHO, they make a damned fine gun. I've shot one all my life and never had issues. Went from shooting an original "hump" (went through two of them) to shooting the Gold and my next gun will be a Browning. I've shot Extrema IIs and Silver Mallards in the past and I just can't get past how far I have to shove the shells into the magazine tube to load, hurts my fingers, especially on cold mornings. And you can forget loading them with gloves
for that alone l love my Gold.

Don't know your budget, but Remington 870 is by far the best shotgun for the money.
If you're an OT baller, Benelli SBE or Beretta Xtrema.

Yep Browning makes a fine shotgun. I've got nothing against them at all. I've shot A5's, Gol's, and Silver's before. Honestly I liked the Silver as far as just shooting goes. They were all damn good guns. Myself I hunt with a SBE II and have a SuperNova as a backup for duck hunting. I'm not gonna hate on one brand just because I prefer another. Stick with a "B" gun and you'll be fine. I will still say the worse move Browning ever made was stopping the A5 production

No doubt. The original A5 was a beast. My grandfather shot one for so long he couldn't get it repaired at a gunsmith anymore, the internal mechanics were just too worn. He sent the gun to Browning requesting they try and fix it and a few weeks later they sent him a brand new one no charge. There was a letter saying they have rarely seen one so worn by use and thanking him for being a loyal customer.
