What is the best ivy to plant in my backyard that will grow in the Houston climate?
I would like for it to grow fast, tolerate the heat in Houston, and stay green all year. I plan on letting it grow and cover my fence.

Does it have to be ivy?
Ever green jasmine flowers as well. Though it is more invasive.

confederate jasmine will grow fast, thick and it flowers spring/summer. Honeysuckle is also a good flowering vine and the hummingbirds will love it
otherwise plain old English ivy will work

Thanks for the help and input.
I am looking into either crossvine, english ivy, or confederate jasmine.
