The armadillo trap on the website is easy to make. I used to make these as a kid to catch rabbits to train beagles.

Fixed it for ya

The damn things are everywhere. A replacement will show up pretty quick after you kill or trap one. The best defense against the bastards is to remove their food source. It's expensive but a chemical treatment on your yard that kills grubs will cause them to move on to another location where they can feed.

You can also get a blue heeler to help with the armadillos. They also keep moles, rabbits, deer, birds, squirrels, and everything else out of the yard.

The scented armadillo trap is the best thing on the market. I've caught at 8 in it. Only thing when you get ready to lift the door be prepared to shoot. Sometimes they come out of the shoot blazing saddles an sometimes you have to coax em out. I use a 12 gauge. I know... over kill. Don't want em running in a culvert an dying or under mysheds. They stink to high heaven. Besides I'm an old man.

My uncle told him to use a .22 and feed him one. Basically shoot straight into his face. Anything else and you risk it bouncing off.
I've always heard this, and I've shot literally hundreds if not thousands of them without ever seeing it.

Soft boil a sweet potatoe and stir in 2 heaping tablespoons of fly bait, place in tin pan in areas they are digging, you will find them very close in the AM.
Downside is there will be coons and opossums and possibly even a cat laying there as well.
