I've never dry fired a large caliber rifle, ever. Maybe a pellet gun when I was 10. And I don't plan on doing it either, Fwiw

That's not an accident. It was ignorant negligence. Falling and firing a weapon = Accident. Dry firing your weapon with a round in the chamber =/= accident.
