Has this changed since last year?
quote:

It is illegal to hunt or trap any wild animal or wild bird with the aid of bait. Liquid scents may be used. Electrically operated calling or sound-reproducing devices may be used for hunting nuisance animals and crow only

They seem to change this so often , it’s hard to keep up. It went from no hunting over corn, to being at least 100 yards away, to nothing in a matter of months.

I certainly don’t want a visit from green jeans...

I believe this has to do with getting ahead of the CWD issues.

Happy to live and hunt in Texas where baiting is allowed and deer are plentiful.
CWD is however a real issue and I wish more was being done.

Pretty sure you can use a feeder but it has to be 100yds from stand and out of sight

Supplemental feeding (corn) is allowed, has to be in a feeder and not just thrown on ground, no longer is it required to be 100 yards away, of course this is for outside of the CWD designated areas

Hell if it weren’t for corn I don’t think you would see anything on my slice of the ms backwoods. Suckers eating 200 lbs a week all summer

If it were not for hunters buying corn, most feed n seeds in Mississippi would be laying off employees
