You are right about SW MS not being what it once was. I spend a lot of time south of PG myself. I can see what’s caused it and it’s not high license prices.

Do you not get that he’s hunting land that been in his family for 100yrs?

You’re looking bad here.

Sometimes it cost a little extra to have your cake and eat it too. I’m living the same story. I have friends that commute every day 70 miles one-way to live in the state they want.

That is a nice belief, but without hunting licenses most states wouldn’t have the resources to manage the resources.

90% of land in La and Ms is privately owned. So who’s managing the fkn resource?

So your suggestion is we sell the land generations of my family was raised on and buy lower quality land in a shittier state because the govt overreach has gotten out of control?

Have an upvote. That’s exactly my point. You got a GREAT thing going. Most/some of us would give up a right pinky finger to have hundreds of acres of family land to ourselves. So what if the licenses are more $ than they used to be?

He’s going to pay it and I will pay for my son’s license. The issue is that it’s almost $500 for a single license and we still have to pay taxes on top of that.

If you pay taxes on the land there should be a break on the hunting license.
