I'm gonna edit my initial answer of live bait to any kind of dead stinky chunk of market bait. Liver, cut bait, dead shrimp, anything like that. No matter where you are, some kind of fish is gonna eat it. And if you're stranded, you won't discriminate in what kind of fish it is you're eating.

I am definately on team fluke. There is no other bait I can think of with as much versatility. It is my go to bait when nothing else is working and never lets me down.

If we're talking artificials, give me a curly tail worm, texas rigged.
ETA 7.5" worm, I can cut it down to whatever size I want. 1/0 or size 1 hook and 1/8oz bullet weight if I could only have one size of each.
