If you spec fish or offshore fish it's almost impossible to put a price on not having to frick with an anchor anymore.
GPS trolling motors are the biggest game changer in fishing since GPS chartplotters. Once you learn to use them they will drastically improve your fishing experience. I would trade every other electronic device in my boat to keep my gps trolling motor.

The kinks have been tweaked out by Minn Kota on the Ulterra's, so as long as you are getting a new model you shouldn't have any issues with the self deploy. As mentioned by others, the auto trim is game changing.
