My network of DIY public and private land Midwest hunters did better this year than the guided hunters I’ve heard about. Maybe that’s due to outfitter buck size restrictions? If you’ve got some hunt in you, DIY is very doable.

Yea I got tired of my buddy's not wanting to go out there with me so I decided to go solo. Its been great, made some awesome friends and learned a lot. It so much better hunting out there than in Ga, the number of 140"+ deer out there compared to home is absurd. I doubt I'll draw next year so I'm going to look into a muley hunt somewhere.

Went to central Nebraska with some guys that come down here alligator hunting with us. Got to meet their families, see some beautiful country, and take a decent buck. Was a great trip.

Thanks! It is a great buck, but wasn't the biggest of our group. They have some hammers up there!

Hunted Unit 10 in Kansas from 8-15 Nov. First three days with the cold weather the young bucks were going nuts. Only shooters were outside bow range. Then it warmed up and went to shite. Last three days only had a few 2 1/2 year old bucks close.
