I was supposed to watch the commission meeting today online, but I had work to do and missed it.

Any info out yet on the recreational not for hire Louisiana red snapper season? It was supposed to be discussed this morning.

TIA.

Same here. I was wanting to see when they were opening up the inside waters for trawling season.

Edit: just found shrimp season opening May 24th. Didn't see anything on the snapper season though.

THis is now posted on their website about the snapper season..

The 2021 recreational red snapper opens the Friday before Memorial Day on weekends only (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), including the Mondays of Memorial Day and Labor Day and the 4th of July regardless of the day of the week it falls upon. Please note, the season is subject to change by Commission action. There is a a daily bag limit of two fish per person and a 16-inch total length minimum size limit

I have the TL;DR version of the meeting if anyone is interested:

They still want us to sweat our asses off at the boat ramp.
They want the good spots to be parking lots.
The red snapper is big and fat like my ex wife.
