I've fished those camps a million times. Always wondered what the deal was with them. I think only one of them is still being used

Ours was the "Green Monster" It was a 2 story shotgun bunk house that slept like 40 people.

IIRC we had like 10 guys in it that paid like $2k each to buy the thing in the early 90's.

We had no land whatsoever. Had to sleep with one eye open in case the wind shifted or the boats would get beat all to shite. We sunk an 18' flatboat not paying attention one night.

From what I remember all the camps in the row were connected on land and with boardwalks at one point. Owned by Texaco, ours was quarters, next door was mess hall, and so on.

Yea I know exactly which one was yalls

I knew about all the ones that were once connected, all the stuff is under water now but holds a lot of fish.

How does that work with duck hunting permit with them?

use the link and "call the man". They lease a lot of hunting and fishing area. They have costs if you want to duck for the season and a cost if you want to place a blind. Believe it is $100 year to fish their "private area". 27k acres.
