I am not renting anything. I could bring a tractor (without a bucket) but that wouldn't help with anything more than a truck. I need the trailer to haul the stand and stuff so one trip not two.

I am trying to do this stand as cheaply as possible. Heck I am trying to do it for free. Haven't spend a nickle yet. Scavanged all the materials I have so far.

I will have to buy some OSB, screws and nails but I think I might be able to get almost everything else for free. And with luck I might be able to scrounge up some free OSB or Plywood.

You know whats going to happen right? The first 3 poles will be a PITA and take 3 hours each but will go in, then the 4th pole is going to be a cluster for some reason. You'll have to rent a tractor or something after all and it will take you 4 mins.

Plan on putting up two in at at time to be sure of the spacing and it will prevent the poles from wanting to fall sideways.

He might be cheap.

He might be young, and just doesn't want to spend his disposable income on renting a piece of equipment.

He might like the challenge of building something without spending money.

Don't be an arse just because he's not exactly like you.

I am pretty damn sure not renting will save me BOTH time and money.

To rent I would need to WASTE time driving waiting for the rental place to open. By the time I drove out of there it could already be at my place ready to work. And don't have have to make two trips. One to haul the rental and another to haul the rest of the shooting house and tools etc.

Then I don't have to drive anywhere when I get home to return the freaking rental.

Lifting with a come-along isn't going to take very long or take real long to set up.
