I've had my manual Mazda3 for 3.5 years now and it's yet to get old. Mazda makes great stickshifts, even in economy cars. Sure sometimes in stop and go rush hour traffic it can be a bit irritating but I plan to drive stick for a long time to come.

more difficult than I thought to find a new manual Tacoma

One of my aunts tried to find one last year and after an extensive search finally gave up and bought a automatic.

My first car in high school was a 96 Nissan Maxima V6 with a 5 speed manual, not the best looking car but it was a blast to drive. Later on I had an 05 Nissan Frontier V6 with a 6 speed manual. If I could get away with having a smaller truck I'd definitely look into one of those, I loved that truck. If it would've been offered my '12 F250 would've been a manual. I actually almost went look at a Dodge because they're the only ones still offering a diesel manual.

You'll have to order a 2014 now. I don't think there are any more 2013s on the lots, but I looked for double cab and not extended ones.

I never learned how to drive a manual.

I learned. But I was never good at it. I get the concept but have a hard time putting it together.

whatever. I'm a girl.

Not so much....you'll also get a great left leg workout from working the clutch...

No...... it becomes second nature. I still act like im shifting a big rig sometimes

Same here, I don't even think about it anymore. I have a ligted jeep with bigger tires, I think an auto would suck. It would strain the hell out of the transmission
