Man ejected from boat at full speed rescued...

could have ended up a lot worse...use the kill switch people...

This is the best takeaway from this unfortunate incident. Many potentially catastrophic consequences could have been avoided had he just used the kill switch

No kill switch or a PFD. Imagine how bad that situation could have been if no one was around to see it happen and save that guys arse.

I'm amazed he didn't get run over by the boat, the boat didn't destroy a dock, and the boat wasn't damaged. That was very lucky.

That guy needs mental eval for running on Lake Seminole without his kill switch hooked up. There probably isn’t a more tree/stump filled lake in the Ga, Ala, Florida region than Seminole. Many areas still have the boat lanes marked by telephone poles but the trees are still there, the tops are just broken off around the normal lake level.

He needs to buy a lottery ticket because you don’t get much luckier than that.

A good secondary safety device would be a gas pedal. Unfortunately most people view gas pedals as a device for racing boats only. I can tell you this, one saved my arse because the kill switch lanyard was too long. Factory Mercury lanyard.
