Looking for a small gun safe

So my husband is hard to shop for Christmas. One thing I considered getting him is a small gun safe to replace the basic lock box he has in his nightstand cabinet. Was thinking one of the ones with the fingerprint scanner and inside lights might be cool. Anyone have any experience with a vaultek?
Looking to stay under $200-250...only need to store one handgun so doesn't need to be massive.
