Yep. No more than 1" lugs. That's on federal parks too. Like sandstone and claiborne

Is there any reason ticks are so bad in this area?

Ive only been once. Didn't get one on me. Buddies dog had one from that hike. Not sure why some areas are worse than others.

Are there any road legal tires with that deep of a tread? I just checked all serious mud tire manufacturers, and none are made. 30/32" are the deepest unless someone cuts the tires themselves

I'm looking for somebody in the Folsom area to come look at our place to do a pulpwood cut. Our guy from Loranger retired.

I don't know anyone who worked all of the way over there. I mainly stuck to the MS River Basin. Get in touch with the Louisiana Forestry Association or the Association of Consulting Foresters . The members of both all have degrees, and have been in business for a while

As others have said, it's hard to find any level ground in the place.. Lots of ridges and ravines... I shot a buck there late one afternoon and swore I wouldn't do it again.. took forever to get it out.... up and down hills. Check out a topo map and you'll see what I mean. Made me sorry I shot it. Haven't hunted there in years since but no stands were allowed overnight back then.. not sure about now. If you like hiking hills though, it's a neat place to explore.
