Cute story. I'm sure he's better than me.

I'm better off eating alum before farting than using a call.

I've duck hunted for 37 year...I hunt all over the state from Cameron to tensas. I hunt public and private land. I work hard to find spots to get away from the weekend warriors. I hunt very hard places to get to.

If you telling the truth then how can you say you do'nt mind the sugarasses? You've seen them I know you have. I figure somebody seasoned like you would be more radical than me about quality hunts. If you hunted Tensas 37 years ago you know about green and went throught the 3 and 30

Like I said, I don't mind 3 and 30...it's the big Whigs. Also, as I've said "sugar asses" rarely go where I do.

In broad daylight? very odd...good sign though. Little bit of rain coming through ought to help out a good number of the areas we hunt. Frozen ground up north won't hurt at all either

How do you know if one is a "sugarass" versus "hardcore"

Hardcore doesnt' post pictures on the internnet. doenst' paint there face, highball all morning showing up just befor shooting light on public grounds. Thats sugarass and you know it. Sugarass are all over except in the harry spots it takes work to get too. You want sugarass? Go to Sherburne WMA to either Section 120 or south farm during christmas and you will have sugarass out the arse.

Also, I m lucky to hunt all over the state and Arkansas, private and publich shooting ground. Walked in to G&h seed in gueydan last week, the knee booter capital of the world and face paint on every fool in their. Made me sick

skybusting
retriever wearing a vest with no ice on ground
popup blind with no additional cover
guns shiny
wear waders even if not getting out boat or only in ankle deep mud/water
bring their body weight in shells
wear calls and camo two days before actually hunting and two days after hunt if kill plenty
freeze when they see cormorants
think a merganser is a duck

think 3 and 30 is a deke to spinner ratio

and at times I do require face paint or masks in my blind.. it's rare. but...

Why does it bother you so.

FTR I don't paint my face, but have zero problem with those that do. Say what you want, everybody takes a peek every now and then....who knows if a ol sneaky suzie has broke away or snuck in and you take a peek at a group that is on a long downwind sweep, and BAM there that flaring bitch is...a little less shine never hurt.

Not fact that they put shite on their face that bothers me. Its a type of hunter that most frequency does it, got that habit of watching to much hunting on tv. STAY HOME and watch your program if you hunt because its cool to do, dcuk hunting is popular industry is why the face paint took off and you know it. Dinosores like myself have a tougher time out here everey year cause of knee booters and face painters

I don't even know what a knee booter is. I have hunted in Nikes before, God knows what the wader folks thought of me!

I think I once killed a limit of woodies every day for a week straight in penny loafers and an Izod with a popped collar. But I was standing in the back of a baby blue Ford Courier for camo.

Rod I am with you, if a guy shows up on public land at shooting hours, walks about 400 yards and sets up....A) they aren't going to kill much B)they shouldn't bother a guy that has done his scouting and is where the birds are.....

If they do get back on me, who am I to think I am more hardcore or committed? Its the nature of public land. shite, I spent a lifetime on public land in NELA, if I show up tomorrow and haven't been there in 20 years..I am going to head to our ol honey holes. I guarantee it will piss someone off, but to say I never put in the work or paid my dues is just silly.

Hell, the pothole in the woods you are hunting is there cause I cut it out with a handsaw in August of 85.
