It's fine for what it is. A blue hole in the ground with Bogalusa and has the amenities you'd exect. Adirondack chairs and a few cabanas. Ain't much to it, but good way to cool off if you don't have a pool. Not something I would do again regularly, but may be fun with younger kids in lieu of a beach trip.

We arent doing a beach trip this summer and this is my suggestion to scratch that itch for the wife.

We went to White sands one afternoon. The fricking sand was so hot you had to run, carrying your kids I might add, from the cabana to the water and back again. Kids had a good time but they were very young. Other people around are a mixed bag with a few rough looking groups. We met a group from Houma. They were a riot and willing to share anything they had.

I enjoyed going there with a large group last summer. They cap off how many people can attend each day to prevent overcrowding. Lots of room out there IMO.
