King Ranch on Fire almost burned our Ranch.

Holy shite I had no idea until my brother just texted me that our ranch almost burned. Said they had to back burn in front of our ranch and our ranch had tons of smoke and looked like it was on fire.

There was a mandatory evacuation of Fowlerton yesterday which is 10 or so miles due west of us because of a brush fire. Would have never known had it not been for gay frank. We need rain down south in the worst way.

Damn. We were going Turkey hunting at my buddy’s lease a little South of Falfurrias this week but high temps over 100 convinced us otherwise. That’s horrible

Looking at that pic our ranch is South of the blue line at the bottom of the fire. That blue line is hwy 285.

Tons of fires in Texas right now. Some 30k acre plus ones still going and no real relief in sight

I saw a few pics from Tio Moya. It burned quite a bit. They dumped chemicals from planes to stop it. Crazy.

Yeah it burned a very large portion Off 285.

I saw those fires off in the distance Saturday and Sunday. I was in KMF property. Glad y’all got spared.
