That's one reason I hate goin fishing by myself when I'm looking for fish. I don't want to spend too much time throwing the wrong thing. It's nice to have two options present at all times!
I'll have rods scattered from bow to stern.

I am going to pick some of those new BA swimbaits up from Academy then.
What do you think about that "baitball"

I just noticed them on the front page of TW. I guess it is a new line of baits from Kopper's.
A little wild looking and my pockets are definately not deep enough for shite like that.

I use cranks only when forced anyway.

Never used them, but since fishing season is gearing up and I have an addiction to buying baits I don't need, I guess I'll pick some up. Problem is I probably won't use them, so I won't be able to tell you how well they work.
Me times 10000, but I will use it early if I don't catch fish with it in first 30 minutes to an hour, I will retire it

I used to be this way, but this past summer, fall, and winter I caught more bass on crankbaits than anything else. Definitely not sold on that bait ball crank, though. They advertise the shite out of it, but I don't think I could trust it.

Alx, mine is put together from a few parts from BPS.
Blade with split ring, swivel, screw eye

No. 1 Colorado blade attached to a hitchhiker. Slow steady retrieve. When they hit it, let load em up like a frog. Bite a 1/4-1/2" off the end of the worm to give yourself a better base. Also run your hook a little farther than normal down the worm, it helps prevent short strikes which tends to happen because of fish hitting at the blade. Also, the Big Bite senko knock off works a lot better because it's harder and stays together better. The Senko brand falls apart easily and you'll constantly lose spinners.
Profit

I have fished them on a lightly weighted swimbait hook with success.

For me, it depends on water depth and grass. Where I have the most success with them is around grass in 3 feet or less, and I throw them weightless in these areas. I've also caught fish on it a little deeper, around cypress trees. In the deeper water, I'll TX rig them with a 1/16th or 1/8th oz. weight.
A weighted hook would probably work fine though.

Thanks guys. Going to try some of the smaller knock offs in an area where they were hitting trick worms last week just to see.

Mr. Gaucho is a good man. He knows the lake well.

i fish lake guntersvlle all the time... the keithech swimbaits are very good.. if you glue them on a swimbait head they very durable and they have a lot of action at very slow speed.
i wouldnt pay $8 for a pack and $8 shipping.
just buy $50 worth and get free shipping.

This is what I did. Bass Pro also sells them under their own name (same colors), so I picked up a pack of them also.
I got the 5" which seems to be too big for the waters around here. I might need to get some 3" or 4".
Hell I never put the senko down long enough to really give them a shot though.

My last TW box I picked up the smaller one. Really neat looking in person. Threw it a few times last weekend at TB. No fish yet. Thanks all for the spinner in senko tips. My next TW box has a variety of stuff for this. That damn place will kill your pocketbook.
