I am looking at the ascend fs 12t. It seems to be slightly more stable( although heavier) and the storage areas on it are huge. I duck hunt out of mine occasionally so I like the room on the ascend

I would not recommend the Ascend kayaks if you do river fishing. They maneuver poorly comparatively and are much heavier.
I think the best all around boat is the native ultimate 12. Retail is north of $1k, but you might luck into a used one for $600. It's a canoe/kayak hybrid with loads of storage space, super stable and maneuvers really well.

Scooba, is the seat on yours stock? or did you change it? I've been looking at ways to modify the seat so its raised a little. any ideas?

Solid kayak. Not sure you'll be able to stand and fish, but that's a really well designed hull, fast and tracks well.
