Mother fricking this. The Boston tea party was about sending a message to an oppressive government. The douche toting an AR-15 in public for no apparent reason is an attention whore, just trying to get his 15 minutes.

He isn't an attention whore! He is promoting the 2A and educating others and desinsitizing people and making it normal for folks to walk around strapped with and AR for no reason!!!

Get the frick out of here you idiots...us normal "redneck" gun owners and 2A upholders will do much better for the cause in the long run than you retards...

Liberals will finally change their minds about gun ownership as long as shaved headed douches run around getting their fame off of trying to incite arguments with police officers... seriously...GTFO

Dude was a flake. Cops handled it how I wish they would always handle that.

Well played officers. Well played.

You keep making reference to my employment but I don't recall saying anything from a Leo perspective. We can agree to disagree and you can continue to think I'm "smug" and only have my position for a power trip.

your words not mine...

and you are a LEO so IMO you really can't look at this issue through our perspective...

I apologize...maybe smug was the wrong terminology..I should have said "confidence" in knowing you have those privileges that others will be harassed for, would have been better words...but I don't feel you can separate your jobs privileges from what the rest of us have to deal with...that's just my opinion and the way I see it...and as I have said before, my brother and several of my friends are LEO's and but I still think that most LEO's are "confident" in the privileges that they have that their view on 2A is somewhat skewed...

I'll start my response with the fact I'm a huge advocate of the 2nd amendment. I usually don't go anywhere without a gun. It is usually concealed, and is for protection rather than advocacy.

I've heard that hair-lipped bastard on several of his "activist" videos. He's a dick. It wouldn't matter if he was on a corner advocating open-carrying of firearms or the right of a woman to abort a small baby from her uterus, he's a dick.

Just this past weekend I watched a kid walk all around Bass Pro open carrying his brand-new Ruger .44 Mag. I have no problem with what he was doing, but it was obvious he was doing it for attention. I watched him fix his shirt and pants 20 times, and purposely walk close to people and turn to show the gun, presumably trying to get a response. My kids and I were looking at the fish and he walked right up between my kids and the glass so they could see his gun. My 4 year old turns around and says "why don't you have yours on the outside (of my pants) like that?" I told her I just don't do it like that, and that was the end of the conversation. I understand many folks didn't grow up around guns like I did, and want to make a point they are gun owners. What I don't understand, is why these people think they need approval from every other citizen who really doesn't give a shite.

In regards to the comments about mj2's distaste for flatbill, pants sagging, gold-teefs, rap music folk, I get it. I don't want one of "those" characters coming home with my daughter either. It is not exactly like the Cosbies are commonplace in south Louisiana, therefore, we reserve the right to judge a thug based on his appearance.

There's the irony. People who grew up around guns, life-long hunters, folks who understand/support the 2A, etc. would never do stupid shite like this. Strictly noobs. Unfortunately, these guys make us all look like asshats, and create a danger of losing public support.

I'm pretty sure most of the OB has want to do exactly this in our current time. In fact, isn't that sort of the current drive of 2A lobby groups like the NRA?

I would never do what this guy did nor would I really encourage it, but I find it ironic that the same people who demand the government stay out of most forms of gun rights restrictions, denounce someone for legally exercising his rights in a way that HE deems appropriate.

Probably because we think he's doing more harm than good.

Politics is PR, that's bad PR. I've used the Greenpeace analogy and it's accurate because it turns people off to your "cause." You don't gain support by forcing your issue on the public, some of whom are legitimately afraid of armed men on city streets.

I respect a man's right to express his beliefs in a public demonstration. However, when it's my cause I have equal right to express my dissatisfaction with the way he chooses to do so.

I''m not claiming he should or shouldn't have the right, I'm saying there are much better ways to make his/our point. I think we can all find some agreement here, I'm not bashing anyone's opinion on the board, just offering my opinion on why I disapprove of his tactic.
