Remember when I said the Carmen (Italian sweet) peppers were too small to stuff? I totally lied. I gave them some miracle gro and Epsom salts. Then they really started producing. I got tired of waiting for a bunch of them to get red, and they were getting quite large, so I picked and stuffed them. Instead of standing them up in a pot of red gravy, I stuffed and laid them down in a baking dish before pouring sauce over them and baking. So good.
I just chopped up another quart of them to put in the freezer. The plants still look great despite the monsoon rains (unlike my tomatoes). Highly recommend them -- beats the crap out of bell peppers.

im doing containers as you know. They have been getting wrecked.
i am just going to let it play out at this point. Some got knocked over by the wind last week.

My AC is lifted and is fine. That's a hose reel. Please don't pay attention to my house. I know it needs work.
Water is going down. Luckily it never made it into my house. But my shop flooded. Wife and are are already discussing moving. This shite is ridiculous. We've never had this kind of problem here and all of a sudden the last few years it's every year. Last year my shop flooded twice.

Oh, crap. I am so sorry for you. I finally got tired of the garden and am growing tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers in containers. Also, all the herbs. The only thing in the gardens are blueberries and green beans. Green beans look pretty sad now, but are still producing.

I thought Carencro was higher than that. I used to live just barely south of it and had friends in Grand Coteau.

I'll probably rip up most of my garden this weekend. I have a few things still growing. I'm finally going to plant a fall garden this year.

I don't know what the hell is going on over here. My house was built in 1992 and the only time it ever flooded was the freak storm in 2012. It took the damn parish over 3 years after that to come clean out the coulee and dig another small retention pond. Which I knew wouldn't do any good. It was a slap in the face. But the last couple years we've had more scares than I can count on both hands. This is the 3rd time in 14 months that my shop has flooded. I have small children now and can't take this shite anymore. They better do some serious drainage improvement around here or we will have to move.

Never before had that happened here. I dedicated all 256 sq ft to corn except 3 bell pepper plants. Only solution: Fire. Live tonight wormies. You'll be toast tomorrow with the aid of flammable liquids. I guess I'll do califlower and carrots in the fall.

I doubt it. Too close together and stalks are too skinny. Good try though. Thats what i feel like everytime i harvest something. The veggie says "good try though".
