My girlfriend killed her first deer this morning, a doe., 2 walked out and she got one and missed the other. When I heard the shots and got the confirmation, I walked to the 4-wheeler and jumped another doe at another corn feeder. All our plots had deer except the stand I was on...

I'd like to, but I just can't excited about these conditions right now. If it were cold days, I'd be doing it, but nothing on my cameras says that I need to hunt midday. Any day pics have been in the 8-10 a.m. range and right at dusk.
I can't stand this warm weather during deer season. I went this morning just because we did some work afterwards around some stands, but I'm skipping the afternoon hunt. I'll get to hunt a few afternoons this week when it cools down.
There's a front moving through mid week so I'm hoping like hell next weekend it will really get kicked off around here.

I got in the stand at 11:30 this morning and still here. Haven't seen a deer yet, and the beer situation isn't going to make it to dark.

I've killed big bucks in hot December weather, but I just hate hunting when it's 75 degrees. With all the shite I tote into the stand, I'm sweating my arse off when I get there.
Add that to the full moon, a ridiculous amount of food for them right now, and the rut hasn't started, then I feel like I'm just wasting my time. If it was during the rut or late season when they're coming to the food plots, then I'd power through and just go, but I haven't been seeing shite since Thanksgiving.

I'm trying to get myself to go out there right now but I can't do it, I'm still hungover and I'm hacking up a lung with this upper respiratory/sinus infection I have going on. I guess I'll just lounge about on the couch and watch some football and rest up to hunt tomorrow
