Box stand at edge of field with his 7mm-08
Yesterday evening was badass! 4^3 shot his first deer and first buck. 144# 5 point that needed to go. He made a perfect shot and I couldn’t be more proud!! It also completed the grand slam for my Dad as he was in the woods with all 4 grandsons on the family land when they’ve killed their killed their first deer.
Now it’s Junior’s day today. Good luck to all today!

Set up in a spot I’ve killed a couple bucks in over the past few years. Got a good scrape in here that they hit every year. Came up yesterday and put up a camera and got a couple deer on it last night but none of the pictures have their head in them.
Been quiet on here the past month, not because I haven’t been hunting, but because I’ve been in north Missouri and didn’t have the service to post. Hunted from the 2nd to the 17th. Had a nice buck at 25 yards on the 4th but it was still too dark to tell if he was a shooter or not. When he was walking off I got a good view, definitely a shooter. Then on the 15th(last day of bow), I grunted in a giant. Probably 160’s-170’s. Got him to 30 yards, he stopped broadside but behind a tree, then took off back to his does. Didn’t get it done this year, but had some really awesome encounters.

Got two pigs with one shot. Wanted to kill the big sow, but she didn’t show. Couldn’t pass up the two for one deal.

i think the 270 will do. Biggest prob is pipelinr is like 15yds wide. You gota be READY! Dont give ya much time to glass them, decide if shooter, and take a good shot.

You need to Hansel and Gretel some of that corn down the pipeline so they’ll slow down.

Yep. Im in a box stand. Keep gun propped, barrel hanging out that window so i can just lay down on gun and shoot if need be. If they come my other way, where plot is, i have more time to move around and adjust

Im not saying its wrong r right. I just when im off and can lol. Wind wrong, idc. I go! Pressure wrong, im off.. i go. Cant kill them at the house. But so far, with exception of that young buck crossing, that was prob headn to bed... yep shite day lol
